Alternator conversion worth a sticky?

Guys/Gals/Mods,
I see the subject of alternator conversions come up all the time. Seems a lot of people have done it but no-one seems to have a sort of step-by-step, with/without options, stuff-you-hurl/keep, tools etc article.

I'm doing one now and I'll throw it open, Should I take pix etc for a "how to and what you need" and the mods can decide whether it's worth a sticky?

Or haven't I trolled Google/Alta Vista enough?????

Or I'll do the conversion and stuff everything else?????

Certainly if there are enough pics and good descriptions, post it up in this section and I'll have a look, and more than likely sticky it :bounce

Yeah do it mate, when i converted my bug to 12 volt, do you think i could find the article in a vw dub mag that they seem to print every year, out of about 200 dub mags i couldn't find it, so i did it on memery alone and hey it worked first go.

This is my Volkswagen, there are many like it, but this one is mine. Without me my Volkswagen is useless, without my Volkswagen, I am useless.
