Suspension setup on superbug
hey people, this is for all you blokes out there with superbugs.
i was just wondering what suspension/handling sort of setup you guys run?. i was going to go the vforce front struts .etc but are they really needed?.
or is there a Koni .etc equivelant that can handle really nicely?

yeah you need to decide on an outcome or intended use before you come up with a plan for ride height, rates, alignment specs etc. Let us know what
yours is!
You will need: springs, dampers, bushes, bars, torsion bars

You should ask Alex Holzl, if you're interested in the circuit scene you would've heard of him.

So. The 13b rotary plan has all but gone out the window now?.
Oh and wrong choice of words with the Guys bit
:o
There are quite a few women on here that can handle a serrious VW and would know more about vw's than alot of the guys on here.
1 of which i know is a very competitive hillclimber.

Click on "japanese racer" there are some cool photos of his suspension set-up, unfortunately nothing written about which products he uses. I do like
how there is a support bar coming from the single superbug mcpherson trailing arm to the bulkhead, giving it wishbone style support.

ok..i'll get on topic but no answers, only questions
have L bug with lowered coils with cofap inserts on front, std swaybar, 185/55/15 tyres
slightly lowered rear,KYB gas shocks, 195/60/15 tyres
urethane bushes whereever appropriate, otherwise std.
rides nice....but i think it could handle better and still ride nice
i'm thinking go gas on the front inserts to mach the back and a rear stabilizer bar?
what do you think?

She could've too, judging by her car this sheila is one fast mover, and someone who does know her stuff. Perhaps she did post something constructive,
because there's a whole lot of stereotypicalising going on here.
Anyhow I'm interested in what everyone has to say because this is something I'm looking into too.

alingment Helps alot!! and also get some wiser wheels and some sticky tires. probably work in this order
Wheels and tires
wheel alingment at same time
springs/shocks
sway bar (front / rear)
