here are 2 websites with details to get you over to moreton island. we have taken our Baja over a couple of times and prefer camping at the tangalooma wrecks.

Have fun

I've used the Moreton Venture which leaves from the Brisbane River, the Combi Trader which leaves from Scarborough, and also a small barge that went from Redland Bay to the southeren tip of Moreton.

There are some good camping spots up around Tangalooma wrecks and a little bit further north.

Have fun

Moreton was how I first got into dubs, was going up to the light house on the beach side in my sierra and this baja went pass in the soft sand. so tried to catch him and couldn't so went down on the hard sand, put it in 2wd and still couldn't catch him... so 2 weeks later I had bought a 59 baja with working semaphores and been into them ever since that was in the late 80s

There is a carpark at the northern end of Tangalooma. You should have heaps of fun over there.....but you will see pretty much everything in about a day and a half.....

when you get off the barge have fun. it will be soft sand so have your air pressure in the tyres low and when off the barge do your best not to stop and work your way around everybody and find some hard sand. As for petrol the is petrol for sale on the island at a few of the townships. If you get a good map of the island they will show you where fuel is available
