? 70AutoStik, are you keeping auto?

I was just wondering Peter if you are building your 1955 cc motor for the auto Beetle, if you were going to modify the auto or torque convertor or clutch ?
.
My brother is organising to fit a T3 auto into a Beetle Race car. He is getting the Stall increased and adding some extra clutch plates in the auto.

Yep, bought the auto for the IRS and fell in love with it. Mick (as in Motors) reckons they're pretty tough, but if you've got any suggestions to make it last longer, I'm all ears. e.g. where's your brother getting his converter done? I know of a place in S.A. who promise they can do any converter, but a guy in Perth reckons he can modify another converter to fit and do it better... For street use, I don't think the clutch will be a huge prob, shouldn't make much more than 100HP.
