Replacing Clutch

How much does it roughly cost to replace a clutch in a Beetle.

If I were to do it myself how difficult is it to do assuming I know how to remove the motor.

If you know how to get the motor out then you should have no troubles replacing the clutch.

Sorry, no idea how much it would cost to get it done though.

Clutch kits are $280-ish for standard
You have a 1776?

Might want to consider HD @ $400-ish

Remove and replace? couple hours? $100 - 150

You have Porsche shroud and duals...... might complicate things? Duals have to come off before the motor comes out - does you shroud have to come off?

Shroud looks like it can stay on since the bottom perimeter of the shroud is below the engine bay seal.

While it is out I wanted to fix the leak from the back of the motor. Between engine and gearbox. Is this a common leaky area that can be replaced without dissambling the motor. I have a Berg sump. May be the gasket between the Berg sump (if there is one) and the engine has perished.
