will be making an exhaust for mij EJ20TT this week but it'll be a very tight fit with the IRS trailing arms and käfer cup brace in the way.
Post those pics for inspiration guys...

nice, keep them coming...
@ 1303, you flipped over the water manifold I assume?
That's a big disadvantage with the TT's , not enough room to flip the manifold so it's water pipes on both sides + exhaust pipes on as wel with the
2 turbo's

72RSBUG,
No i didnt flip the manifold the coolant line runs just behind (you can just see it through the factory hole that mounts the factory Z or sway bar)the
steel in the inner guard and then follows the line of the inner guard and exits at the torsion tube about 3 inches inwards from the spring plate
retainer.

that one looks really nice
Anyone still using the cat in their exhaust setups?
If I use the stock ECU from my TT engine, can I run it without that cat and just put the sensor in the open exhaust pipe?

Yes that should work fine!
I had exhausts with and without the cat and it worked just fine. But mine is no Turbo conversion. Just the EJ 22!
But, as you can see above, Reub is not using a cat, either!

Under new guidelines I'd have to run a cat to comply but my car was trated as a modified 1968 beetle that didn't have to comply with emissions....

Mine is registered as "oldtimer" here in Belgium.
Only thing I have to worry about is the brakes and emissions being O.K.

Hi,
Just following up on 72RSBug's original question, are there any other photos of exhaust systems used to match EJ20TT engines in Beetles? I've
searched Google and this site and have only found photos of the downpipes coming from the turbos (mainly those posted by 72RSBug). What I'm really
looking for is how the two down pipes are joined and how the rest of the exhaust system is routed ie photos from underneath the car. Any help would
be greatly appreciated.

i was gonna put the EJ20TT in mine but everyone in the subi world has warned me against it or say convert to single turbo

the twin (smaller) turboes are intended have a quicker spool up time for better response, but really, with a good ballbearing turbo, you just don't
need them these days. It's just subaru factory tightness that would stop them using ballbearing turboes too. If you want the best combo, strap on a
supercharger for the bottom end that switch over to the turbo half way up the rev range. Lancia did it with a rally car in the 80s with excellent
success. A few companies also offered a kit for the supercharged MR2 that did the same.
