Before resto and after resto pics

This is a '73 L bug I restored a few years ago.
Bought for $500.00 from the local Holden dealer.

Here is the same car, finished with its new owner. It cost $2200.00 to restore, doing all the work myself. Including top end engine rebuild.

The car was sold 2 years later for $5000.00

The ute was 99% rust free, but was missing a lot of parts. I bought it about 10 years ago.
I have restored quiet a few cars, 8 full rebuilds, and I am doing a "69 Beetle now.

:D

You lucky son of a gun! I think I will have to start keeping my eye open on my country trips, the ute was a great find! nearly all the other finds have the usual rust on the lower front clip! that one looks pretty free from rust and the rest looks pretty straight too, lucky devil.
