rear apron
need to replace the rear apron on the beetle. what needs to be done? is it a difficult job.

just an idea. if ur replacing the rear apron, what about making the new one bolt on? it makes engine removal easier. |

ok, have to get the old one off first looks like there are a few welds, not sure about anything else do the guards need to come off

Remove bumper and guards as it will make it easier to line up and repair the inner guards.
Make it bolt on as per above much easier to remove an engine especially if its bigger than stock
You will find its spot welded down each side. A spot weld drill would be a good idea makes drill easier

That is an awsome idea - to ease engine removal - I would have never thought of that.
