does he get the car out much? That looked like one of his better runs from the posted videos. Most of the time the car is farting and pissing so that was much cleaner. Must be way more in it than a 6.1/6.2?

I think it ran a 6.09 and 122.9mph, taking off in second gear.
Engine was running sweet, but the shifter or pro rings meant the second gear starts were needed
so that he could still put down some good runs for the fans.

Last I heard he was tidying up some small issues, but customers come before racing,
but should be ready for Warwick in September.

Will be good to see a pass where all the gear shifts come together for him.

Will be an awesome spectacle.

It should be good to see it when it leaves using first gear as well. Slowly all the gremlins are being worked out. Its hard to get something so new to be right from the start. It has always been a case of seeing what is going on with it as he gets more time behind the wheel in it. The video and most of the passes at Portland Mike was leaving the line in second gear. If he launches in first and doesn't have a nap between gears we could see some awesome passes soon.

Don't worry it wont be collecting dust at Warwick next weekend. With a new shifter in the car hopefully some good numbers will follow. With a car like Mikes its not an easy task getting it sorted, I'm sure Mike will be looking forward to showing more of the Ghia's full potential as he clocks up time in the seat. Here is some info on the car http://www.cbbvw.com/vehicle/8/The-Twins

Just love some of the engineering that goes into these drag cars ..even better when it filters down into street cars..pushing the development of VW based products benefits all the VW community..
