Mexican Taxi


A 1995 VW 1600 "Mexican Taxi" in the VW Museum in Wolfsburg.

Those Beetles have no co-drivers seat for better access for the passengers.

Yes

notice the large grap handle on the passenger side...

these beetles kept the factory going..

until the Mexican Government changed the Taxi Laws...

I think it was Taxis had to have 4 doors....

they look so good... until You measure the thickness of the steel/sheet metal...
or I should say lack of thickness.... lol
