Yes - I guess the simple things are often overlooked. It does help to have some experience on your side.

The breather box was made by a previous owner, actually the guy that built the bug. He was a stainless fabby in a previous life so liked to make a few bits here and there.

The ignition is completely electronic and was made by Rob Holzyl - he built the motor also. It is a nice little 1776 and does me just fine. But getting back to the vacuum hose this is just for decoration as there is no vacuum advance on the dizzy at all.
