The original interior. Replaced sports wheel with a black later model wheel. Hoping to find a reasonable white wheel before painting finished.
Sports wheel was to close to blinker arm and I think previous owner had snapped off arm trying to bend it away from wheel.Have replaced blinker arm.
Have managed to find an original drivers seat in great condition, colour a little differant tone but close.http://i591.photobucket.com/albums/ss351/mengyou/beginnings014.jpg
Original upholstry still good.

Cool! What colour are you going or keeping it the original? You will have one happy beetle after the resto

Colour will be white with a slight pearl. White was original colour.
Found a little more rust in the pillars and under the damn holden mirror that was on it. I think I will put peeps on rather than a door pin mirror.
Having front seats redone colour will be close but not quite right, looking at going two tone.
Will post some more pics soon.

Two tone seats look very cool, you will happy with that decision. It near impossible to get an exact color match when you re-upholster old seats, you'd go crazy trying

When I got the car I had a good look at the floor, so I thought.Looked in front and behind the front seats.
Lifted back seat all ok. Took front seats out, for some reason pulled back the mat under passenger seat........................

I am excited it took me 20 years to get my second beetle. I keep threatening too and finally did. Once you have had one it's hard to get them out of your system. I can't help but smile:)
The black wheel will be going.

still not finished. Seats are back and retrimed. Went with a cream insert so they will probably be dirty forever.
