76 Kombi in wrecker needs saving
Hi
I received this email and I thought that I would pass it on.
1302Steve
Hello,
Last year I've been travelling through Australia in a beautiful Volkswagen Kombi from "76. Unfortunately we didn't have the money to
get a new pink slip (or was it green? Blue?) so we had to leave it at a wreckers in Tumblong, NSW, near Gundagai next to the Hume Highway.
We felt so bad because it was probably one of the coolest Kombi's we'd ever seen, painted by a art teacher from Byron Bay.
You reckon there's anyone interested in adopting it? An authentic VW-fan not to far from Canberra?
Greetings
Tom Roes - Netherland

Can send you better pictures if you're interested! tomroes@yahoo.com

That is awesome!!! :thumb
It would be worth the drive to Canberra to pick it up, except my life would not be worth living if I brought home another car. (Two more on the way already! )

but it could have the only non rusty vent window in australia! The owners come from netherlands. There's probably enough marijuana down the backs
of seats to make some money. The rear bumper is heaps straighter than mine. It might have the rare and endangered type 4 head with solid valve seats.
I could sell the 2 litre crank and rods to an 1800 owner.
