mate, this is between steve and the new owner, if the new owner or steve wants to make a comment on what has happened so be it. im fairly sure it doesnt need everyone else putting in their two cents about the condition of the car that has sold.

it wasnt in this thread though was it. also there are two people who know 100% of the story and nether of them have answered so far, other than the new owner asking for advice in a separate thread.
so all this getting upset and accusing people is not helping anything nor is it whats this forum is about. so im going to ask nicely stop or the next abusive comment will be removed

easy there boys

There is a Latin saying "Caveat Emptor" which basically means let the buyer beware, i'm the buyer and I got it wrong this time. You won't hear me bitching about it as that won't get the job done. I've learnt some of my best lessons from mistakes and as Forrest Gump once said, Shit Happens.:)

Im sad to see that over the weekend all this complaining has started without my knowledge,

i will make it perfectly clear that everyone who came to look at this car was told i bought this car with the bodywork already done by the previous owner, i did not touch it except for putting wheels, bumpers and carbs on it, i drove this car for years the way it was and advised evryone who enquired about it there were a couple rust bubbles appearing(which were also always there) and people could either leave it and keep driving it or 1 day down the track fix it and put another spare wheel well in it and probable sills as i pointed out the wheel well had fibreglass in it.

iF THIS CAR WAS IN SHOWROOM CONDITION IT WOULD HAVE BEEN $20000.00 and not the hell of a lot cheaper price it sold for.

at the end of the day i advised everyone i bought it as is and sold it as is, every karmann ghia these days needs new sills etc when stripped unless you find 1 fully restored for 20-30 thou.

Sorry you are unhappy.
