Noises and liquids

Hi, i installed a kadron header with a stinger the other day and its loud but when i stop accelerating it makes a wierd like a backfiring noise, is this normal. Also it seems to collect water or some liquid but not fuel i hope and it hasnt rained. Im just wondering this is all normal on a 1600 single port.

ok

a) a stinger has basically no back pressure so it may pop when u back off the throttle but before u just assume this is the case, check all the gasgets for leaks, check timing, fuel points, tappets etc. as running lean or too advanced could cause backfiring.

b) where is the liquid collecting? at the flange? it might be dew. how big is the temp change from evening to day where u live?

c) stingers arent legal and u will get pulled over by the cops/RTA/DOT or whatever.
