mines going the same way

first subi did more KMs in a couple of weeks than the bugs done in the last 18 months

Jak, your bugs been an inspiration to many of us

it must almost seem embarrasing to think it was once a magazine feature car with only a stock 1600 dak dak all those years ago

It only seems like yesterday we were transfering the cash into Paul's account to pay for the engines.

Mine was off the road for paint etc while I was getting the new box sorted, although i have still managed about 90,000kms and drive it daily.

Glad to see its still putting a smile on your face Jak...

Matt

You know me and my crap phone cameras...

I squared the aeros at the front to take the new radiator I got off ebay that turned out to be too big. It is a 74 body now...old one really did have too much cut out.

I have the 2002 engine waiting for a new manifold as the bolt on pattern changed in 1999. Got one off rexnet for $150...

The old motor is still going well..uses a bit of oil, but I have the boost right up and am trying to smash it....not working so far....

THANK U MISTA SUBAROOOOOOO

p.s... I am down to 132kgs thanks GTMac

Hey Mate I am looking into doing a suby conversion but it is so hard to find someone that is into that sort of thing, mind you I am only new to this site. its just that I have notice too many people would rather work the hell out of a vw engine. I was wondering if you may be able to put me onto someone that is willing to help me out with questions and answer of the conversion.

Cheers

Michael
