Window Washer
How do i get my Window squirter thingo to work?
Ive got the hoses hooked up and i know it needs pressurising but how do i do this?
How do i make it squirt water with the button? It wont pull out it only twists?
I have a 71 Standard.
I never got any manuals with my car so dont know how its meant to work,
Cheers Josh

just piss off all the original pressurised stuff and fit an electric pump
you can even keep the original vw washer bottle if u like thats all i did
the original system uses pressure from the spare tyre and you press the middle bit of the washer knob but after nearly 40 years they never work
propelry, only leak water and flatten your spare
i got a nice stream of washer fluid sprayed in my lap the first time i used mine thanks to a dodgy wiperswitch

Just get a simple pump from any spare parts, hook it up in line just below the bottom of the tank in the cargo area. The power can go to a switch you
can just pull apart your original switch and put a common button switch from Jaycar. Its easy, just takes a bit of time. No special tools needed. It
all looks original, but is electric.
