Need help in Newcastle

Gidday all,
Was wondering if anyone knows anybody in newcastle are who could help out with a drive train problem. Rear left wheel keeps locking up when reversing, also some banging sounds occur at times, and car tries to climb over rear axle and wheel. I can't identify what the problem is, any help appreciated.
Thanks

Slip up to Rutherford and see Ian if he can't help you you are in trouble. From your description I would guess the brake shoes are adrift or contaminated.

Hi
Your location says Kingswood which I thought was Sydney??

sounds like a brake problem... maybe handbrake clip and pin
or brake drum pins and clips have come adrift...

these should always be replaced when the brakes are looked at... as they are very inexpensive to purchase..

You will need someone with rear axle nut socket and 3/4 breaker bar and about 5ft or 2 metres long piece of pipe to put over the breaker bar... these nuts are on very tight..

the bits will probably fall out when you take the brake drum off...

Surely someone on here could help You...

then you need the new bits to replace the old bits...

Only place i know is the North Belmont shell servo...
would have the bits too....

cheers

LEE

thanks guys,

got onto a guy in hamilton called tyres and more. very helpfull. all the bits were there it was the bolt holding on the handbrake lever which fell out. all parts were there so they were able to get me going ok. I thinks it's time to get a major service done by a specialist so I have a good starting point.
