You sent you learner book off ? Wat for ?

When i did mine in NSW early last year all i had to do was bring it on the test day, they added up the hours and it was fine. They held onto it whilst i did the test, i passed, they gave me my license, cut off the corner of the book and handed it back

Do you have to get it sent away up there for checking ? Yesh
I dnt kno how the could, a 1/3 of my 130 hrs were fake and they wouldn't have been able to prove it

geez i forget sometimes how easy my generation and older had things

Just pass the Ls computer test at 16, pass the Ps test at 17 and your done, full license handed over at 18, no log books, or restrictions

power restrictions is a smart move though, just wish they would police it better, the amount of P platers i see driving turbo and V8 cars like idiots is a joke

Ha! That was sophistomocated! When I got my licence in the '70s in Mt. Newman, I drove the ute to the police station, the sergeant asked if I could drive, then said "Show me" and stood outside while I drove around for about 30 seconds. Done.

in qld you must send your book away to QLD Transport and they check it,if all is well they send you an email, call,or sms saying you have completed your hours. You can then go for your test.well that is how i understand anyway.

How'd you go?
Got the confirmation letter in the mail yet?
Got your P's?

I only got my P's a monthish ago, only had to wait about 4 weeks (maybe less) to get the confirmation letter in the mail.
