Yes, It is the ex Volma one which was for sale here for some time at a $ less than $15K if I recall.
Hope they have fixed the jumping out of 4th gear for that price. It will sit there for a long time at that price unless some suspect comes along and just has to have it.
Art, Keep working on yours and they will be just as good as this one

Well, they've apparently got it in the fancy showroom window of a "Fine Art" dealer's, along with a Type 181 for some reason. Obviously they think that the classy atmosphere of the dealership is worth the markup? Looks a nice car anyway. Think of it this way, if a millionaire bought it as a toy, then sold it a year later at it's proper market value of pehaps half the asking price, what has he lost? 10 grand? Much less than a year's depreciation on most new cars.

$27,500 won't buy you a base model Commodore, but by the time you drive the Commodore home it will have depreciated to less. The fact that someone previously sold this car for less is no real guide to value; this is relatively cheap for a nice and somewhat rare toy. I know that in the white goods industry some people spend this much on ovens and cooktops for their domestic kitchens, and you still can't drive those to the beach. It's kinda boring how every time an air-cooled VW gets listed at a realistic toy value there is a collective sucking of teeth and beating of chests on the forum.
