Squareback on carsales

Hi all,

After months of searching for an original squareback in or very close RWC for around 5 grand, i finally put a deposit on one on the weekend - very excited my first VW. Still needs a bit of work inside but body and motor good.

I was very happy until I saw this one, which is exactly what I was looking for and just up the road!!!

Still happy with the one I got but have I missed out on something special?

Please someone tell me this is a rust bucket underneath.

Don't want to look at it just in case its too good - can't afford both of them.

The one I put the deposit on was completely restored about five years ago, everything taken apart, all rust repaired and everything repainted inside and out (I have photos- but not sure how to post yet). So there should not be any hidden rust. The guy I bought it off is going to respray the outside for me as well - so that sealed the deal on Monday.

Don't stress mate. ur best bet is to self hypnotise some ignorance towards the other car and focus on what you got. Which doesn't sound bad either. Particularly if its recently been restored and your getting a fresh respray with your deal. How could ya go wrong. good work man :tu:

Not saying ya or nay but more than willing to answer questions via PM if you like tacker75 as I did see the car in person.
