Hi guys just wondering IF recommended where the best place is to put a fuel filter on the vw beetles.

Hi
I have mine under the fuel tank...
the other place is above the LH side rear axle where the fuel pipe connects to a rubber fuel hose..
any where but in the engine compartment...
