rear seat/arm rests

I have been thinking about getting new seat covers from TMI and today I realised that I have seen cars with box like rear arm rests.

My car (notch back) has none, just a smooth thin panel.

Question is do cars with and without arm rests have a different length rear seats or does it not go below the seat ends so all seats are the same?

Just don't want to order something and get a cover that does not fit.
