Hey everyone,obviously im new to the forum,recently my mother in law gave me a 1971 vw beetle 1 owner with 51000km on the clock,awsome condition but being a car nut i would like to do it up. Previuose rides where a 250hp twin cam gemini wagon, rs liberty and a worked vp commodore vp. Just wondering has anyone here done a wrx conversion on one (please excuse me if there is already a thread)and could give me some info would be great.

Hi Scott,


Welcome aboard and you need to have a look through other forum topics. There is one called Non-VW engine conversions and this is where you will find the answers you are looking for. Yes, there are heaps of Subaru powered VW's on here and around Australia. Unless of course you were talking about and AWD conversion, which has also been done (overseas I think).

Have a look around and ask question, the people on here are only to friendly to help.

Also you can do a search to find things.
