trouble fitting alternator a 1600 motor carby will not fit
Hi Has anyone had trouble fitting a alternotor to a 1600 motor. I cannot fit the carby. The linkages for the accellator pump hit the alternator.
Can any one help

Thats correct
There are 2 different set ups
I have seen people grind away sections of the alternator
Pretty sure you can flip the linkage around???
Otherwise you need a different carb

I just took a grinder too it. few minutes and problem solved. The side of the alternator has some pretty thick flesh, its hard to go all the way
through it.

New engine in process: 94mm p&bs, 74mm C/w chomol Crank, 35.5x39 SP heads, turbo. Wierd combo, hopeful torque monsta!
