World Time Attack this Friday and Saturday
Hi Everyone,
This has nothing to do with VWs but everything to do with circuit racing.
Yokohama World Time Attack is on this Friday 5th August and Saturday 6th August. Last year it was Eastern Creek's second biggest event and voted
event of the year equal with The Nurburgring 24HR by speedhunters.com
This year it will be even bigger with 4 time attack cars from Japan:
- Cyber Evo which beat the V8Supercar record last year (Without slicks!)
- Panspeed RX7
- Scorch Racing Nissan S15 (Mad privateer that is a pharmasist by day)
- Revolution RX7 (All carbon fibre and built like a GT car)
1 Car from the USA
- Sierra Sierra Evo Built and driven by an ex Indy team. Owned by a Billionaire with nothing better to do than strive for time attack world
domination.
1 Kiwi car
- Some evo. Enough said.
80 or so Aussies trying to take back the title.
There's also the Tectalloy Drift Challenge from 5:30pm to 9:30pm each night with 6 D1 Kiwi cars including the quad rotor red bull RX7 of Mad Mike.
They're up against 26 of Australia's best drifters.
I've been working on this event since December last year wtih Hi-Octane racing in Rydalmere. It will be huge.

roadtripping with a few drift mates thurs nite for this, why its on fri/sat not sat/sun is odd though but rdo's work well to fix it!

and Mat close in his Targa Audi TTRS, though I think he has put a huge wing on it, and ceramic brakes for this event. Just so he doesn't fel out of
place...
I have no sympathy for my car, only the wallet that pays for it!

from qld being one of them
