I've had a thing for early Passat's for a while, So when this thing came on the market, it was too nice not to buy.....

A good clean up, early bumpers, rims and a little drop later............

My dads first brand new car was a 1976 automatic wagon and this was the car that started my love affair with all things volkswagen. The 1.6 engine was bulletproof even after 280,000ks , only thing that played up was the auto choke on solex carby (we put a webber on it eventually), the plastic caps on the standard radiator cracked and the auto was replaced a couple of times. We drove our flipper blue passat to all the shows during the 80s and often had the only passat there. When it was time to purchase my own car I found a 2 door TS which I modified to be quite a quick car in its day , 186 toranas and 253 kingswoods were no match for my 1.5 with twin side-draft dellortos. I was watching an old home video from the 90s the other day and there was my beautiful TS with charcoal paint and moon discs and I thought to myself that car would be so cool today. So one day when I finish my baja, squareback, dual cab bay.....projects, I will have to find another passat!:tu::tu:

Yeah shot down and picked it up the same day you were here!

I Just bought a webber and manifold for it, and would like to drop the front a bit. But other than that just enjoy it :)

Thanks for the kind words.
