Low back seats in late Type 3?

Anyone know if low back front seats fit directly into a late Type 3?

What should I expect to pay for a decent set?

Go easy on the slang - I'm not quite sure what I'm doing...

I'm into early Type 3's and Ghias. Never owned a VW or anything older than MY94 for that matter.

yes they will fit up to 72 and drop straight in.

73 have its own 3 point mounting type of seat.

Worth? I have no idea. never liked them never bought them, I stick to high back ;)

Seat base of the late seat and change the back. (from memory the late seats are the same as a Mk1 Golf)_

why change the top from the base when up to 72 still used the early plastic rails

low back.

I think lowbacks were stock on an Aussie 1970 and 71 at least so they should drop right in.

I have only seen black bases as well and all of them had their correct original seats.

looks like base color may well depend on interior color?
