The flames are getting bigger

Hi all,
So I have flames coming out of my exhaust of my Type 1 Beetle on idle and it seems to be getting worse as time goes by. I have just fitted some 40mm Webers ( Italian x 2) to my 1600 tp motor which have apparently been jetted to the same motor setup i have. I fitted a electric fuel pump at the same time and 2x new fuel filters . The first time I kicked it over it ran great. Took the car for a test drive the next day for about 15 mins and it ran like a dream, responsive and smooth. The next day I went for a drive down the highway to a mates place and again great, until I stopped and started up again then it started popping out of the exhaust on idle. It started to run really rough on low rpm but alright at 3000 - 4000 rpm. The popping started getting more regular then the flames replaced the pops all on idle then more and more.

Can anyone offer some advice ? Cheers

better at night I bet,
people pay good money for stuff like that.
I think you may have dirt in the two idle jets in the top outer side of carby,??
