Type 4 engine, where to get
Looking into the possibility of putting a type 4 engine in my fastie, where is a good place to find a decent type 4 engine? are there certin models i
should avoid if getting one from the wreckers if thats possible.

where are u ? a few choices , early 1700 , 1800 , 2000 , 2000 injected and the hydraulic lifter ones , there heavy being alloy case and its not a
straight fit into late type 3's and on early ones you loose the fuel pump so have to convert to electric , it wont fit under the lid unless u modify
manifolds or find some 411 manifolds and the cooling ducting has to be sorted , you will need conversion flywheel or use an 1800 one 215mm ... few
things.. but a good conversion as have done it and just raised the lid
