What to do in and around Bathurst


looks like I am looking at a trip to bathurst for xmas anyone got any good places to visit in and around. any suggestions welcomed :-)

mate, there are such great places to visit in this country n unless it's the race around the mountain weekend it speaks volumes
no beaches there just to let you know :lol:

theres some really nice wineries there and a distillery somewhere there. only a short drive to mudgee and orange.

Go for a drive on Bylong Valley Way - one hell of a great drive - about 2 1/2 hours each way if you do the complete trip.

You could also visit Sofala just off the Bylong Valley way - I didn't get a chance, but a number of people reckon it is great.

I also agree with the wineries idea. :)

yep sofala is a great little step back in time
my wife n I rode our bikes from bris to melb a few years back n on the back roads southward found that little gem
well worth the trip ;) n u get further away from bathurst :lol:

drop your wife (girlfreind ) off at the winery , an as steve suggested,go to Australian Motor Racing Museum, its well worth it

What to do around Buthurst?...........Under 4 minutes would be handy.:yes:
