It's actually the 24th year of the nats. It's the 25th nats this year.

I read it on samba, so it must be correct.

Funny thing is I recognise a couple of them from the pics.
Pretty sure that's Dave Beckers old turbo Oval in one, it turned up on ebay recently but it was looking pretty raggered.

That 5th pic will have purists having coronaries.

Hi

Great photos, anymore?

I recognise a few cars, the grey/blue split is Rod Farrrels, he still owns it, I think the red Oval belonged to Fabian Corio, Dave Beckers Oval was more of a maroon colour, the yellow bug next to the green bug with LH tailights belonged to Mike Waldron and the brown Oval opposite the red Oval belonged Eddie Garcia.

Memories

Wow, 24 years ago.

In the first picture, those are mine on the left, 1949 Split, 1956 Oval, 1986 Beetle, 1976 Cabrio and 1961 Ghia.
Still have the 56 Oval, 86 Beetle ( which is still brand new, I haven't driven it on the road yet)
In the 6th picture, left to right, 1971 Kubelewagen, 1952 Split and 1972 Porsche off road race car.
Still have the 71 Kubel ( currently for sale on this site) and still have the Porsche.

Thanks for the memories, Robb

No it's the 24th anniversary.

The first anniversary was in '89.

Birchall has trouble with maths.

I really can't believe Club VW advertising it as the 25th anniversary!

What a pack of dipsticks!

I read it on samba, so it must be correct.
