Good project.

For the tank I'd be looking at getting one out of an early model. The filler is on the drivers side of the spare tyre. I'd say you only have to cut a hole in the panel behind the spare tyre so the filler neck can come through like the early model has. I've seen cars that have been converted but I've never done it.

This should help with the wiring.

I guess Melbourne is kind of close to Townsville, 3000km or so. :smilegrin:

I'm actually moving to Wagga, NSW in a few weeks. Will be there for a year or so. So not much work going to happen up here. Hopefully more down there!


Apparently there is a club up here but I've never seen them. I was at a classic show n shine recently, not a single dub! Aussie/yank mainly.


edit: I would love to go over it with a Type 3 expert though! So if you are around TSV in the next few weeks give me a yell!
