ajustable front susspenion wont ajust
i went to lower my front end the other day i loosened the nut
that surrounded and then adjusted the allen key bolts and it done nothing at all any help at all much appreciated

Maybe it was already at its lowest point....assuming you were lowering

its actually quite high in the front and back end at the moment and i cant understand why it wont drop the hight

If it's been in the same position for a long period of time it would be fair to say that the adjuster has seized inside the beam tube mabey , plus
have you loosened the clamp nut , ie the one comming out of the beam at 90 deg to the tube ( BUT DO NOT UNDO THE ALLEN KEY HEADED GRUB SCREW IN THE
MIDDLE OF THIS NUT ) as this will mabey end up with the dimple in the spring packs mis aligned

Yes, two lock nuts to make a sway-a-way style work. Also do it on some jack stands but you may need to load the suspension a little to go lower.

its been sitting in a shed for about twelve years
oz and matt do you mean jack it up so the front wheels arnt on the ground then ajust it ?
and these are the nuts that i undone in the middle of the pic i was getting my dad too help me cause hes owned a few vw and done it befor and he didnt
know either why it wasnt lowering

Those bolts hold your torsion leaves (front springs) in position.
If you loosen those bolts you in effect have no front springs.
If you want to check, take them out and you sould see a dimple in the bottom of the hole that the bolt pressed into.
If you cant see the dimple, move the suspension up and down till you do and re insert and tighten the bolt.

they hold the torsion bars central in the beam......do them back up asap !
