top steering column bearing


hi guys am after some advice on replacing the top steering column bearing on a 1971 super bug .column still in car

Hi

Is the bearing shagged or is it just floppy on the shaft?

If its floppy on the shaft you can pack it with some slim plastic.

no its shagged picked up new bearing today .when steering wheel removed found all bits chewed up plaztic type stuff in indicator switch
