 Mounting of seat

Hey there

I am mounting the seat in my beetle and cannot seem to find any info from Sparco with requirements for mounting the seat. It is a Sparco Pro 2000
I known that you can buy the seat mount to use for the side mount, (not my preference) but in my setup I would prefer to use the 4 captive nuts under
the seat.
Can I just use the 4 mounting bolts under the seat?
Is this adequate for CAMS and the seat?
Pics below show that I am using rollcage tube and I will drill and bush the tube for the bolts to fix the seat.
Appreciate your information since CAMS and Sparco seem to be light on.

My seat mounting tubes

Captive nuts in side of seat

Captive nuts in base of seat. This is what I would like to use (4 of)

FIA approved side seat mounts (yes I know they are there but don't want to use them unless I absolutely must )

I don't see why the bottom mounts aren't allowed. They should be built as per the side mounts. Maybe email Sparco and confirm from them?

I have no sympathy for my car, only the wallet that pays for it!
Go hard or go home!!!!

I did find some info this morning that finally confirmed I could use either bottom or side mount as far as Sparco were concerned.

Side mounts give u a lot more adjustability as in seat height and angle compared to fixed on the botom plus if mounted on the sparco brkts u ca mount
the seat closer to the centre of the car giving more seat to side bar clearance, the correct angle in a race seat is very important as there is no give
in them at all to much angle back difficult to press pedals and eccess pressure under legs too far forward lower back probs got to fit it so your
comfortable my5cents cheers Rudi
