I'm using a techometric switch to control the pump: http://www.revolutionelectronics.com/12003-installation.pdf 

Here's how the Carter pump is mounted... If there is a better way let me know :ninja:

I thought a body mount would have been normal.. lol

A couple of reasons... right or wrong.:)

1. On the beam to keep any vibrations isolated. I think the factory efi pump was there for this reason.
2. On the cabin side considering everything in front of the beam a kind of crumple zone.
3. I didn't want to drill any holes into the bulkhead to reduce risk of rust. Type 3's drain the air boxes there hence it would often be wet.

you could get a factory EFI mounting plate like this.

This one was also moved over to the middle to make room for an aftermarket pump.

Thanks. I saw that. There's a guy on Samba selling some too. But if/when the hose clamp lets go I'll probably just make my own plate to fit the centre properly.

another alternative it to make a aluminum plate to take place of the tunnel cover and utilize that as a mounting plate. This guy went one step further and cast a one piece cover and pump mount. :tu:
