For all you Subaru converters out there that wish to use late model engines (MY07 onwards) we have now launched Subatronics by Subarugears. The first
product is a CANbus emulator which allows late model Subaru engines to run with a standard ECU outside of the Subaru environment. i.e. a VW.
This opens up a range of late model engines from the humble EJ20 to the BRZ's FB20, the 6 cylinder EZ30R and EZ36R and the stump pulling EE20 turbo
diesel. All of these utilise AVCS (and most dual AVCS) variable cam timing for great low down torque. The FA and FB series of engines use direct
injection to boot.
Coupled with a Subarugears reversed 5 speed, there is now the ability to place a modern, smooth driveline in a classic VW or kit car, should you be
keen to do so.
