Radial engine and prop air boat style, mounted in the tray?
Keen to see what engine twist you have for us.

100 more HP than the old Lexus V8 would be nice...oh, and a couple less cylinders.

How much do those Scooby 3L sixes grunt out I wonder?
Not as much as any of those, but at least it would sound nice and be smooth.

suby 6cyl has about 200ponys
the lexus v8 duel-cab ute i had was approx the same
i can get a porsche boxter power unit particularly cheap at the moment
i still have about 10x 4.4litre P76 alloy V8s under the bench at home
i think there is 3x Rover 3.5 alloy V8 donks there as well
but i have a "slightly Different" approach to this one :-)
once we have it rolling & running & the body half sorted i`ll let you all know
i promise :-)
i would normally spread the word before it`s even happened (me & my big mouth)
but history tells me to shut my gob & make it happen first
then (i reckon) it will speak for itself :-)
it is kinda silly really, time consuming & cost a fair bit of money etc
but should be a pretty nice car to drive.

I fitted an Ez30 6 cyl 3 litre to my 1990 double cab auto last December.
160kw
Goes hard
Sounds like a Porsche
Smooth as.....
Tows car trailer and car effortlessly
Better fuel economy than original 4 cyl 2.1

No deezle,
i would love a W8 tho :-)
but, i`ve already bought the donor car :-)
I`ll be taking pics & vids all along
this thing is quite capable of "easilly & cheaply" making 400+hp actually
but we`ll keep it stock for the moment , until Marly gets used to it :-)

I finally got around to dropping the front end & steering out of it, still got the rear spring plates & torsion bars to come out
but then it`s off to have all the underneath stripped back to clean bright metal & start the whole "make it happen" thing happen :-)

66bus,,, not sure that we`ll have a 0-100k in 3 sec car, but it won`t bge far off it :-)
Landfall,,, no, it`s a steering re-direction box, to suit a rack-n-pinion :-)
who`s going to try & guess the donor car`s running gear ???

well,,, ok,,, you`re "sort-of" right,,, almost,,, a bit,,, well nearly
for any of you who don`t know what a Metro 6R4 is,,, youtube or google it
we actually had one here for a while repairing & appraising it for the bank that re-posessed it,,, they are an absolutely awesome Groub-B rally
car from back in the mid 80`s , rear-mid engined alloy V6 4x4 rocket ship, chassis designed & built by the Williams formula one team in
conjunction with British Leyland at the time,,, check out the vids on youtube about them,,, just wicked wicked wicked things :-)
& seeing as the project has actually started & we have the Dept of Transport Approval to build it & we have both the donor car & the
Zombi currently being stripped & prepped for this conversion...
i`ll spill the beans...
it`s getting a very Late model, Turbo-charged, quad-cam, injected, alloy V6, Nissan Skyline GTR/Stagea 4x4, automatic, complete drive/running gear..
motor , box, diffs suspension etc
there,,, i`ve said it :-)
the whole power-unit is being swung around the wrong way, so engine will be at the rear, both for ease of access & weight distribution,,, the
original front diff being in the sump is going going goooone & dry sump being fitted,,, "Another" GTR Rear diff has been procured & will be
set-up into the front suspension cradle & the original Stagea rear diff/suspension cradle is going in the back ...with both diffs mounted
upside-down so they drive the right way
yes this makes the car predominantly front-wheel-drive until the front wheels spin a bit, then the rear wheels will kick-in,,, but i`m putting a
switch in-place to make it constant 4x4 around town & flick the switch for Hwy use to save fuel.
lots of other stuff going into this zombie like the steering "re-direction-box" that i posted a pic of earlier, so it`ll be limited slip diffs front
& rear, rack-n-pinion power steering, & air-con etc etc etc.
trying to make this thing a little stealthy attempting to keep it looking quite stock-standard
whatcha`s all think? ,,, Sacralidge or what???
