Minimum garage size

Hi.
I'm after a second hand garage. What size would be the minimum that I could work on my beetle? I've got a spot for up to about 7mx7m. There are a few 6x6 that come up and some singles but would 3m wide be enough to work on the car?

This is what I have now.

Thanks.
Neil

6m x 3m is plenty if you're space efficient. This is 7m x 2.65m between the posts, but 7m x 4.4m overall, and I have the back 2m of it for benches, bikes, grinding, welding, etc.

Thanks modnrod. Good info. Might look at a single with a lean-to.

Looking at the stuff you have in the garage now, I would try for a 6x6, as they are a common size. You will not regret it later. A 6x3 you will always be shuffling around to do stuff.

My Beetle carport is 6 x 3 but lucky 2 sides are open.
Would anyone say 10 x 20 was a bit oversize?
That's what I ultimately want!

Got a 6x6

Scored a double garage with a singe big door. Now to move a water tank, put a pad down, 125mm thick and 25mPa.
