Remove engine and gearbox together?

Hi all,

With the rear valance removed and everything electrical disconnected, is removing the engine and gearbox in one piece just a matter of unbolting axles and shifter connection, and the four bolts for the gearbox?

Cheers, Greg.

Cool, would rather drop them together but didn't know if you could. Thanks!

An aircooled engine and trans is around 150kg, a clevo 351 on its own is over 230kg.
It's not too heavy if you are using the right gear.

The only reason I can think of for NOT removing the engine first...is you don't have a 17mm spanner.

I'd rather wear a Beetle out by racing it than by polishing it!
