Remove engine and gearbox together?
Hi all,
With the rear valance removed and everything electrical disconnected, is removing the engine and gearbox in one piece just a matter of unbolting axles
and shifter connection, and the four bolts for the gearbox?
Cheers, Greg.

An aircooled engine and trans is around 150kg, a clevo 351 on its own is over 230kg.
It's not too heavy if you are using the right gear.

The only reason I can think of for NOT removing the engine first...is you don't have a 17mm spanner.
I'd rather wear a Beetle out by racing it than by polishing it!
