| Rear axle (Reduction boxes) breakdown 
 
 Hi, does anyone have the a breakdown diagram of the reduction boxes / rear axle?
 
 I only have the ones for the split buses and the CB boxes / rear axle sections look different.

 Hi
 There were 2 reduction boxes.  The early one has the small axle nut, and the later one has the larger one.  Changed in 62,63 or 64, somewhere
there.
 The CB one is the later large nut one, except the cast shock bracket was cut off with a grinder, at the factory, and the nose of the inner casting,
where the axle tube goes in, was machined so it fits neatly into the adapter plate.
 Hope that helps.  Parts list and drawing attached.

 Hi Tony, thanks for that! Really appreciate it.
 So basically only the internals and the outer cover can be sourced from a split, the back cover / inner casting is CB specific due to the machining
work done on it.
 By any chance you are able to look up the transmission section and quote me p/n for gears #3 and #4 please.

 No problem.
 That's what the book calls :-
 Gear Train (3rd Speed) - 113 311 275A
 Gear Train (4th Speed) - 113 311 341
 No info on ratios.  Seems the part number is for the pair of gears.

 Odd bit of information.
 113 311 275A -> 3rd, looks to be a 1.22 gear, but according to the CB sales brochure it should be a 1.26
 113 311 341 -> 4th, looks to be a 0.89 gear, but according to the CB sales brochure it should be a 0.82 one.

 If anyone has broken down a CB transmission I'd like to hear if you remember the ratios.
 Or if you're driving and can figure out the RPM at speed, I'd appreciate the input as well.
