So Exciting
Thanks for the links I have just been to http://www.netbugs.de and found an owner in
Austria with the exact same car, colour, interior its identical. This is so exciting. The badge on the car is 1303S and have the original log books
and purchase letter, etc. I was just trying to find any information on my little bug.

1303 was what they were called in the UK.
The later L bugs here where similar to the 1303....
a 1303 should be a 75L cause they got the R&P steerin and indicators on the bumper.
I think also they were the first to have there engines made out of magnesium?
but ofcourse i am prolly completly wrong

1303' s went from 1973 to 1975
73 had 1302 suspension
74 had 2 bolt suspension
and 75 had 2 bolt suspension and r&p
but they are all 1303's
They all had AS41's - a standard mag case
They 75's "may" have got an AS21 - higher in Aluminium but i dont think so
