HELP....58 Door Handles...Grab Handle...Questions

OK Bel is being put back together...and things are getting tricky

She has/had the flip type handles

The replacement doors they put on have holes for the push button type....

Bel's original handles are very pitted and I'd bought second hand ones in pretty good nick except the springs are gone :(

As far as I know push button handle came in 1960 and were not used on 58's...Is this right? I'm being told that they did come with the buttoned handles....I'm starting to get a little anxious here as I don't want the wrong handles on her....I'd rather things go on hold until I can get it right

Also I'd bought a grab handle to go on her dash....My catalogue said they were for a 58 onward....I'm being told her dash is unsuited...Is this right?

Feedback much appreciated!!!:)

Thanks jnr!!! :)

I'd sorted out the handles.... 'Ice Pick'/pull are go...holes are being filled and doors repainted

I'd bought the grab handle (Wolfsbug West... for a 58) and was told that 58's didn't have them.... Didn't have an answer on this one today until now...now I'll give the go ahead.....I was wanting it on Bel, and thought so...58's could have them...

Wow...'All'...how many have you had?

i've had 4.
just check that your new handles cover all of the larger square hole in the door(they are squarer at the back)

ice picks

Yep ice pick handles are what you want Jen.
They only thing with your doors is the recess for your fingers will be bigger as they are later model doors.
The dash handle is also correct and these are offen fitted to ovals as well as an extra.
Looks good so far.

For some reason I'm being told the dash is too close to the windscreen???

Are there two types of grab handles...though when I bought it they know all parts I was ordering were for a 58... :(

I dunno anymore
