old buggy images +

Here is s series of buggy images I was given by a chap I meet with an old J&S. Have a look at his $200 Porsche Speedster as well. He did a bit of racing and hillclimbing at a track in Sydney, anyone recognise it?

Yeah no problem, I'll email you them. Just let me know which ones. I've also got a series of newspaper clippings from the building of his buggy, and the original instructions for building the J&S (scan). Plus lots more on the race track.
cheers

It never changes-what a bloke will do to impress a couple of honies in bikinis.Looks like the wrong bloke's got the helmet on though. They are great old photos.Imagine being allowed to blast around sand hills like that now-much less in a floorpan with no protection.Ah the good old days.

what was the guy's name?
might be a guy I know,
he had a 1835 turbo engine in a J&S and told me he did 100mph plus along pittwater road.
Give wrx drivers a shock these days.
BTW, it had 4 wheel drums,
can you say scary?:duh

The guys name is Angus, and still has the buggy. Used to have a 356 engine in it at one stage. When he blew that up a mate (one of the Hamiltons) said he could have an Carrera 4 cam motor to replace it, he had a couple sitting in his shed! One sold on ebay for $92K USD just recently.
He also has the later bonnet as well.

The green buggy looks just like my Taipan. Would that be the mould that the Taipan got from J&S in the early days?
