Beetle rust repair
Hi
I have a 67 Beetle which has serious rust holes around the drivers side, side window. this is the only rust on the car, due to a bad fitting window
seal. how can i repair this?
I have a doner car, which i can use the entire panel from, would this be the way to go ? or just let in some fresh metal ?
thanks

if the doner cars has no rust in the area u need use that, that way you are sure to get the right shape, lines etc plus its good metal in the dubs so
if its rust free go for it....

Pretty much any form of welding will create some form of distortion, its more a matter of how you deal with it. The backside of the window section is
difficult to get at with a dolly so chances are that it will be difficult to beat back into shape really nicely. Short answer, you will most likely
have to use body filler over the welds after being ground back.
