Albury
Sooty,
depending on how you want to get there is a big one.
If you can cruise fast there seems to be less traffic out on the Newell Hwy (the one out west), but its towns are a little further apart than on the
New England (the one in the middle), and the Pacific, well its the busiest.
Personally, I prefer the Pacific for Bris to Syd. But if I had to go to Albury (I used to live in Canb and visit rellies in Holbrook, just north of
Albury) from Bris and I wanted to go safely, I'd give about 16 hours stright driving. So two days. Thats just me though, I like to stop for the
night in a bed, rather than in a tree. Davids one of 14 from the Coast to Albury is right, so just add on the hour or so from Bris to the Gold
Coast.

I might be in for that too. Can't promise anything but if it falls in the holidays then I'd be a definate.
Grey57 - Dean, will you be going to this or what. You about my pace. You bring the amber, I'll bring the port and fire place.
Might be a good opportunity to get a free paint job for the Dog-O-War. I'll tape it up, you supply the paint David.

have some accommodation already
ok guys ,albury is a pretty busy place on the long weekend so i am saying if you want to come down book earlier the better , i have found a place in
central albury "THE NEW ALBURY HOTEL/MOTEL PHONE (02) 60213599 that has good rooms at a good price and it has an irish bar downstairs that we
will be having our saturday night Shindig there, as well they are having this awsome band there (The mongolian fishmongers) we have got the crown
lounge booked upstairs as well and will have music there too .Single rooms are $48 ,double $60 twin share$65 triple share $80 and 4 share $85 the
rooms are really good, it will definately suit the younger crowd so BOOK NOW under the" VW RIVER RUN" GROUP I think we will use this place
as our hub it has lockable car parking as well will be getting more accom info as i check out other motels close by ok have found the elm court
motel very nice place has under cover parking heated pool and spa and secure parking right in front of your door and just around the corner from the
new albury but BOOK EARLY Rooms here are $80 for two and $10 per person extra and they have 2,3,4 share and family rooms remember just get your beds
organised and hopefully we will take care of the rest

Sounds great! Long weekend can be bissy though. The Hotel is good .There is also a great back packers In Albury too very resonable prices and good
digs the owner is a VW nut as well, he has a spliscreen phonebox and hubcaps everywhere.
Probably no secure parking though but probably good if you are on a buget
23 windows ...8 too many!

if any of you guys are considering coming to the albury run and want accommodation i would suggest booking at one of the two places listed earlier in
the thread or they may not hold the places for every one
