Alternator fuse and Wiring

I have a few questions about suby alternator wiring and fuses. What size fuse is everyone using between the alternator and battery? And is it better to run all 3 white wires from the alternator to the battery or to run 2 to the battery and the other to the starter from the alternator?

Thanks
Richard

My Subaru alternator is a 90Amp one, I use a (80Amp i thinik) fuse and holder as they use in car audio setups. I run one single cable (4 gauge) from the battery to the fuseholder (has another fuse for the rest of the car) I then run a single 4or8 gauge cable to the alternator which then terminates to those 3 white wires.
You shoudl always run the starter motor cable straight from the battery to the starter. I think i run 2 gauge for this.
