brakes


hey just cheking the brakes on my baja and one of the steel brake lines that runs along the pan has got a hole dont know from just from wear it looks its squrts break fluid every where tho. wat is the best way to fix these can i bye a replacement one allrady bent up to shape.
any help appreciated.

yes you can buy new lines.

mine came from vintage vw, but you have to bend em up yourself as you put em in-not hard bend by hand.

i have recently been getting lines made up at the local brake place, just take in the vw end pieces (squirells?) and they will flare the end of the tubing with the squirels in place.

make sure you replace the grommets where the line goes through the body or they will just rattle and rub through again

The new lines are straight but easy to bend and there about 2 meters long so postage will be the killer unless you get it lose coiled up and are willing to straighten it out again

Give Vintage a call 02-9789-1777 but someone must have them in Brissy
