metal interior panels


hey people
anyone made metal interior panels for a kombi ?? im sick of the crap wood ones falling to pieces so though it might be a better?
not sure whether to just paint them,carpet them or put foam and a trim over them?

make em out of ally :P im thinking about making my door cards & other parts out of ally unless i can get one of my friends to make them out of carbon fibre. i think it would look kool :)

Much of my (kitcar) interior trimming, including my dash, is (was) polished alloy. I say was because I ended up HATING how much time it took to keep them clean. Every finger smudge and bit of dirt shows up, they scratch suprisingly easily, plus they can be distractingly bright and reflective in the sun.

I have now refinished them in basic aluminium colour paint with loads of clear coat. MUCH better.

Carbon fibre would be right sexy though.

ive used 1.2 mm alloy chequer plate in my baja on the doors and dash and its great ,,,but very expensive
